25 Perfect Homeschool Classroom Setup Ideas

Sharing is caring!

According to Wikipedia, Homeschooling, also known as home education, is the education of children at home or at a variety of places other than school Home education is usually conducted by a parent, tutor, or an online teacher.

Many families use less formal ways of educating. “Homeschooling” is the term commonly used in North America, whereas “home education” is commonly used in the United Kingdom, Europe, and in many Commonwealth countries.

And just because the definition is quite straightforward and easy doesn’t imply that homeschooling is actually easy, at any rate, it is more difficult to carry out as a parent unlike when you are sending them off to school.

When you’re not done dealing with the frustration of the actual process of homeschooling your kids, then you might still be beating around for space to homeschool your children without all the catastrophe and mess that your home will finally turn into.

Looking for strategic places in your house where you can quickly set up your homeschool class is actually one of the first steps to getting it right with the process.

You might want your homeschool class to be in a place that you and your children normally frequent i.e A little closet in your living room, under your stairs in your bedroom, or even your kitchen.

It is better to have it at an angle where you can easily rotate around other parts of your house or places you frequent so that you won’t get stressed up and your children won’t have to deal with infrequent supervision.

Your house might be very small or very large but in any of the two cases, you can still find homeschool set-up ideas that will fit your small space perfectly.

You need to carve out your homeschool classroom based on your kid’s school age.

Your preschooler might need more space than their older counterparts and so on for other schoolers.

Colors are another angle to consider or rather put into serious consideration because your preschooler and nursery kids will prefer flashy and colorful spaces that will entice them enough to want to be in the process with you.

Since they are your kids, you know exactly how to draw them in with undivided attention and that’s one of the advantages of homeschooling.

You are at the liberty of trying different things until you finally get what is suiting you and the kids.

I find colorful maps, charts, paintings, colorful workbooks do the trick with my toddlers but my second grader is much more excited with musical instruments that we play after every lesson.

The trick here is to create a space to load up all your homeschool materials. You will need a very large cupboard with many demarcations, so you can stock up on different things without having everything jam-packed.

Here are some homeschool setup ideas for your small space that you can get creative with.

Today I woke up this morning and my son told me he was working on building NASA. 🚀👨‍🚀 and when I saw this 😍 it just had to be the cutest thing I ever seen! I absolutely loved it. We recently watched the launch and landing of the astronauts and you better believe that is something my kids won't ever forget. And I just want to remind you… some days are hard with school, they hate it, things are not as you planned. And if you are new to it, it can be incredibly challenging. But remember even when you think you're not teaching anything you actually are. Kids soak in everything around them! And sometimes learning isn't about writing, reading, tests memorizing etc. Its about making memories. It's about learning by just living life. Everything you do has potential to teach. #homeschool #homeschooljourney #teachthem #teach #instillbeloved #gatherround #myfathersworld #singaporemath #allaboutreading #hookedonphonics #kindergardten #1stgrade #prek #preschool #unitstudy #space #nasa #legos #spacelegos
