Many health professionals advise utilizing a nice chair and stress its significance. According to physiotherapists, “In the age of technology, we spend so much time sitting at our computers, and our bodies cannot maintain proper posture for hours without fatiguing”
“A chair that supports the natural curve in your lower back and allows your lower back to retain a good neutral position can reduce stress on the spine and enhance the alignment of your spine all the way up to your head.”
What chair features are good for back pain?
An office chair with adequate back support may have a number of ergonomic advantages. One essential feature to guarantee the chair has the proper form for your individual body shape is adjustability. For further information on what to look for, see our guide to what makes an office chair ergonomic, but in essence, you should search for chairs with:
back support
flexible armrests
ability to modify seat depth
slouch and tilt.
The Best Office Chairs For Back & Leg Pains 2023
1. X4 Executive Leather Chair
The new best chair for back pain.

One of the comfiest ergonomic seats we’ve ever reviewed is the X4 Executive leather chair, to start. The X4’s appearance is unremarkable (though you can spice things up with one of the eight available colors), but when you sit in it for any period of time, it truly shines. The X4 is made of hard plastic, chrome aluminum, mesh, and leather and offers all the reliable support you’d expect from a high-end ergonomic chair while also being quite comfortable.
The heaviest chair on the list, weighing a whopping 31kg (more than twice as much as any of the others), is this one. However, that sturdiness contributes to exceptional back support and wonderful robust, soft comfort. Additionally, there are a ton of feature choices, such as headrests, 360-degree armrests, massaging features, and heating pads.
2. Sihoo M90D Ergonomic Chair
The Sihoo line of office chairs is certainly worth looking into if you need a good ergonomic office chair for back pain but don’t want to spend the money on the available “executive” variants (see above and below). The Sihoo M90D chair, which is closer in the middle of their range, was the one we actually reviewed, and we adored its adjustable lumbar support. However, if you prefer to go with the less expensive Sihoo ergonomic chair alternatives, you’ll still receive plenty of support and (non-adjustable) lumbar support for your money.
The back support, headrest, armrests, height, and tilt of the chair are all highly customizable. The characteristics that are adjustable at least allow you to make the majority of the changes that health experts advise, such as allowing you to alter chair height so your knees are slightly lower than your hips. However, the seat depth cannot be adjusted. All of this combines to provide great lower back support for office chair users at a cost significantly less than what its characteristics would imply.
3. Realm of Thrones Admiral
The new best chair for back pain
SPECIFICATIONS
Color: Black, grey, black and red, black and yellow
Weight: 26kg
Max load: 136kg
Dimensions: 68 x 72 x 135cm
Assembly: Needs assembly
Pros
Great lower back support+
Highly adjustable
Cons
May be too small for some people
Another one of the top mid-range ergonomic chairs is this one. Although the design is somewhat “blocky,” it is not overly pricey and seems more expensive than it is. It also has an excellent build and finish. It has a mesh back, like many of the chairs we’ve studied, which experts advise for air circulation to prevent perspiring in hot weather. Additionally, it has what the manufacturer refers to as a “waterfall” shaped seat edge, which means that even while the edge is relatively close to your knees, it tapers down to relieve strain on your thighs, as advised by the NHS.
With a lever to secure the choice, the lumbar support has three settings. Additionally, unlike other models, the headrest has an arc design that enables it to support your neck and maintain your head in a more natural posture.
